I Vincisgrassi is an Italian comedy rock band from Macerata, formed in 1993, whose music is inspired to the style of Elio e le Storie Tese and Frank Zappa. The band has not got a particular leader. The band's name has its origins in a traditional food from Marche, just called ''vincisgrassi''. Songs are generally sung in the dialect of Macerata and they are a mixture of music and sketches. The band's members are acute observers, sharp folk singers and great connoisseurs of the social reality in their province and sometimes write songs about social problems. The original members of the band are Maurizio Serafini, Luciano Monceri and Paolo Mencoboni. In 2006 Paolo Mencoboni left the band and he was replaced by Roberto Marcucci. In 2007 Marcucci left the band too and Simone Cicconi took his place. On their last CD ''Marducati'', Maurizio Serafini and Luciano Monceri appear with the pseudonyms of Mario Vinci and Neno Sgrassi.
